Privacy & Data Handling
How Deep River Digital's conversion tracking handles data.
When you interact with a site we track — submit a form, click a phone, email, or text link, or book a call — a small script records that a conversion happened and which marketing channel brought you there. This lets the business measure how many enquiries its marketing generates. Here's exactly what that involves.
What we store
- The type of action (e.g. form submission, phone click) and its time.
- Marketing attribution — the source, channel, and campaign tags that show which marketing earned the lead.
- The page you were on and the site that referred you.
- Your device type in broad terms only — e.g. mobile · iOS · Safari. No version numbers, no device model.
What we do not store
- No name, email address, or phone number. When you submit a form, those go to the business's own system (its website or CRM). Our tracking sees them only for a moment to confirm a real submission occurred, then discards them — they are never saved to our database.
- No IP address. Your IP is used only briefly, in memory, to prevent duplicate counts and abuse, then converted to a one-way hash. The raw IP is never stored or logged.
- No browser fingerprint, no cross-site tracking, no advertising profiles.
- We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
Conversion records are automatically deleted after 12 months. Each business can only ever see its own data.
